Through tele-rehabilitation, our centre links rehabilitation professionals at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute to acquired brain injury (ABI) patients across Ontario and beyond. We provide a combination of group therapies (with a therapist situated at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute) and self-administered Internet-based interventions. In doing so, we are able to conveniently and cost-effectively help the 140,000+ patients living with the enduring cognitive and mental health consequences of ABI throughout Ontario, who may no longer have access to Day Hospital programs.
